Kimberly Oneness is a storyteller, educator, and global citizen who believes every child carries brilliance within their skin.
Dr. Kimberly Oneness earned her doctorate from Howard University and has spent more than 25 years helping children and adults grow in confidence, courage, and cultural awareness across communities around the world. Her career spans university classrooms, international communities, and the families who trust her work to help raise the next generation with intention.
She writes stories that celebrate identity, imagination, and the strength of our roots. Her debut picture book, Stars in My Skin: The Secret of the Ink, was inspired by her own family of storytellers — and by her deep belief that when children understand where they come from, they rise with unshakable light.

As a long-tenured university professor, Dr. Kimberly brings academic rigour to everything she creates — but always translates it into warm, accessible language that speaks directly to families. Her work bridges two worlds: the intellectual depth of her doctoral training and the soulful, grounded storytelling of the African diaspora tradition.
In addition to her work with Kid Possible Press, Dr. Kimberly leads Dynasty by Design — her adult-facing brand focused on family transformation, leadership development, and the intentional work of building generational legacies. The two brands form a complete ecosystem: KPP empowers the children, Dynasty by Design equips the adults raising them.

Published Stars in My Skin: The Secret of the Ink — Book One of the Deep Ink Series. The book weaves melanin science, family storytelling, and Afrocentric illustration into a lyrical journey of self-discovery for children ages 6–9.
